My name is Karin, and I run the design studio Kamlou Design AB, where I create nature-inspired illustrations and patterns infused with a sense of craftsmanship and biodiversity. After many years working in graphic design and marketing, I decided to follow my dream – to create art inspired by flowers, animals, and the beauty of nature. Drawing and painting have always been a part of me. As a child, I went through endless supplies of crayons, markers, watercolor paints, and sketchbooks. Even today, I feel that same childlike joy when I open a new sketchpad or explore a new medium or technique. With a versatile background in traditional art forms such as oil, charcoal, and pencil – along with experience in digital illustration – I’ve developed a style that unites the best of both worlds. In recent years, watercolor painting has become my passion and personal means of expression, often combined with digital tools like Photoshop and Illustrator to create unique results.
